The Caribbean Policy Research Institute (CAPRI), a public policy think tank that conducts research to inform economic, social, environmental, and governance policies, is recruiting for the position of Communications Officer.
Specific duties will include but not limited to:
- Developing and continually updating CAPRI’s Communications and Marketing Strategy and managing its implementation;
- Building CAPRI’s brand throughout the Caribbean;
- Managing CAPRI’s regional and national media relations;
- Managing CAPRI’s website and social media outlets;
- Overseeing the dissemination of CAPRI’s outputs – reports, briefs, social media posts etc.;
- Assisting with the planning of CAPRI events – web forums, in person public forums
- Overseeing the development of communication materials for CAPRI’s thematic areas and CAPRI as a whole e.g. briefs, marketing presentations
- Liaising with the research team and production team for communications materials (reports, briefs) to ensure that the report and supporting documents are completed in a timely manner;
- Preparing communications plans and reports for projects and ensuring their key performance indicators related to communications are achieved
- Documenting CAPRI's social and traditional media mentions.
- Capturing data on attendance and engagement.
- Supporting CAPRI’s Executive Director and the CAPRI team as needed.
