Overall Policy Objectives: 
The main objective is to ensure access and provide affordable, equitable, reliable, clean and sustainable energy sources and services to drive and secure national development, and improve the quality of life for all of Grenada's citizens. The policy  comprises a Strategic Framework setting out short-, medium- and long- term goals, strategies and actions for policy implementation and an Institutional Framework describing the roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders. The goals of the Strategic Framework are to: establish a legal framework as the basis for energy policy & its objectives, establish adequate institutional resources to faciliate energy policy goals, establish an appropriate legal and regulatory framework to exploit hydrocarbon resources, increase the use of renewable energy sources, diversify energy reources, promote energy efficiency & conservation, modernize the power sector.
