Sustainable Energy Framework

This is not a policy, but a detailed strategic document designed to support the National Energy Policy (NEP) and a sustainable energy policy. The objectives of the Sustainable Energy Framework (SEF) are to unlock viable investments in renewables and energy efficiency to reduce energy costs, improve energy security, and enhance environmental sustainability. It sets forth recommendations for promoting renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) , including proposed policy principles, regulatory changes, financial instruments, technical measures, and strengthening of institutional capabilities. It supports the NEP by analysing RE and EE investment scenarios consistent with the achievement of NEP targets, and outlining elements of a strategic and operational framework coherent with RE and EE targets of the NEP and the SEF.
